Old Business:
Recycling contract with City: GA will be drafting a letter to send to the City council asking questions about current recycling restrictions, how to expand the current recycling options, etc
Becoming 501 ( c ) 3 – meeting scheduled next Friday (June 16) with lawyer to begin process
Upcoming community projects:
June 15th at Red Rooster: Tshirts to Totes- begin @ 6 pm. We will be sewing tshirts into upcycled tote bags. There is a no-sew option as well, and a small project to work on while people wait for sewing machines to become available.
June 26th at the Oil Room: Emily Newton will be speaking about Food Waste. Begins at 7 pm-ish.
July 11th at Wylie park, Shelter B @ 6 pm: GA summer picnic! Hot dogs, hamburgers, brats and buns will be provided. We will have ladder ball, bean bag toss, etc. We are asking members to please bring a side dish to pass. Start time to be announced as the day gets closer.
Ongoing event: Farmers Market- Once a month we have a booth at the Farmer’s Market in Central Park. Enno will speak with Megahn about selling T’s at the booth as a fundraiser for GA.
