2. Events:
a. Farmer’s Market October 4th 2:30 to 6:30
b. Currently looking for more
3. 2018 Goals
a. Marketing/Survey – failed to meet Oct. 1 Survey goal. Enno will be in touch with Teresa Stallings(sp?)
b. Community Action – successfully participated in 4 of 6 community events (Farmers’ markets,
Concert series, Art & Bicycle, Aberdeen Night Out.) (Did not participate in Brown County Fair
or Art & Music festival) c. Working With Easton Castle – successfully completed Spring Cleanup Weekend and Fall Chautauqua
4. Chautauqua recap – Enno
5. Adopt a Hwy/Street – working on this
New Business:
1. Giveaways – need ideas (key chain, magnet, seed paper business card, etc.)
a. Motion to a lot up to $200 to spend on giveaways: approved
b. Next meeting – everyone bring one idea. Include cost or prep time for project
2. Fundraisers
a. Retrocade – Dec. 8th or 15th ? b. GoFundMe – only $400 of $1800 currently raised. Discussion on how to make up difference.
3. Plastic Situation: Sr. Mary Lou reported that China would no longer be accepting U.S. plastic
a. Discussion: adding educational component to meetings to increase knowledge & understanding
of environmental topics like these (e.g. process of recycling plastic, ozone layer, solar energy).
The idea was brought up to show educational videos in addition to having guest speakers.
