Green Aberdeen General Meeting, April 1st, 2019 K.O. Lee Library
Attending: Rev. Enno K. Limvere, Bruce Likness, Joe Berns, Rob Wedemann, Margaret James, Cassy Bitz, and Kim Holmes.
President Enno Limvere called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.
Recognized Bruce Likness as a first-time visitor.
Minutes of last meeting were approved with two changes. The treasurer’s report had two missing decimal spots in the totals.
Treasurer’s Report: Beginning balance is $1,828.69. Income is interest $0.09. Expenditures of $60.30. Ending balance: $1,768.48.
Old Business:
Becoming a 501(c)3: Received letter from our lawyer saying it is being worked on.
Events: 200 seed cards given away at the 18th Annual Home Show.
Goals:
- Marketing Survey – No contact with Northern State University.

As funds become available with the discretion of the board, it is authorized to purchase presentation material.
- 3 Field Trips:
- Spring Field Trip to Easton Castle May 11th, 3:00 – 9:00. Tour, Potluck, & Bonfire.
- Summer Trip to Oahe Dam and possible Wind Farm. July 13th
- Fall trip to Elm Dam or Sand Lake, date maybe in September & October
Give Aways – Joe Berns will buy the Seed Cards & Margaret says that the shop is not open yet for the Wood Coasters.
Earth Day Fair
Promotion:
Deb Many Carson – Completed the Poster. Enno is making copies. Please get some and put them up around town.
Enno will be on Dakota Broadcasting April 19th for the community form in the morning.
Enno will start sending out to the community calendars.
Enno will submit a guest column for Earth Day.
Sponsorships:
We have 8 sponsors so far totaling $525 in cash donations.
Activities:
Kim as talked to Dan Cleberg: Ravin’, Better Ride, and Ron Parker about music. Joe will fill.
Possible Speakers: Randy Mages on pollinators. Possible is Lawrence Diggs, Sienna Wessel, &
Margaret James
Central Environmental Club will be doing activities: Trash Kit Ball, Finger Paint, Side Walk Chalk
Candace Briscoe is working on a school art show.
Lois Beckner will try to set up an Art Show.
Budget:
Joe Berns is talking with the Insurance company for liability insurance.
Booths:
We have just about four booths lined up, people can sign up until April 19th.
We are going to apply to have the street closed so open up the space and reduce the traffic.
We need help with our Green Aberdeen booth to man it.
Have some separation between the music and booth.
New Business:
Margaret shared that the city is going to remove the ash trees because of the emerald ash bore infestation.
Cassy Bitz gave us the downtown concert series dates: June 13th, July 11th, and August 2nd.
Board will meet on April 15th at the Briscoe Building to finalize the plan and details.
